Consulting

Does your team want to engage in a deep process of reflection on your communal prayer, and build a vision in partnership with your congregation?

Cantor Rosalie Will would work with your congregation to provide worship support and resources,  by redefining  the questions we ask and building new strategies for creating a worship and music vision that works for your congregation. Her goal is to help you create lasting systems and processes for your community to continue to grow and evolve.

Possibilities for a Consultancy with Cantor Will could include:

Meetings with Your Senior Team

Conversations with clergy/lay leaders to allow Rosalie to understand the vision and mission of the community as well as the worship goals, success and challenges that currently exist.

Evaluation and Reflection with Clergy

Virtual meetings to reflect on the current worship, to consider new opportunities, create shared language for planning and goal setting.

Observation/Watching Video of Services

Cantor Will could review recordings services and ask questions about worship goals, and observe the skills and strengths of each leader as well as opportunities presented which she can help address and for which she can provide tools and skill-building.

Community Conversations

Rosalie would lead small group conversations with lay leaders or congregants, to ask big questions about  communal prayer and the role of music in worship.

Sessions with Worship Committees or Lay Leaders

High level conversations could provide new ways of thinking about prayer in the congregation, the role of music and song, and to create a shared language to build a vision together.

Service Planning Meeting

Cantor Will could meet with the clergy team to “plan” a service together, incorporating some of the work and visioning that has taken place.

Technique Session

Cantor Will could support the musical worship leaders with techniques to help each leader find more comfort and success in teaching melodies, engaging the congregational voice, and providing opportunities for creative worship while strengthening the existing minhagim (customs) and repertoire.

Repertoire Session

Cantor Will could teach and share new repertoire, or older repertoire “reimagined”, that might be comfortable for the worship leaders as well the congregation to broaden the possibilities of meaningful liturgical moments.

Our congregation engaged Cantor Will to help guide us through a yearlong process to determine what skill and abilities we were looking for in our first full time ordained cantor.

Cantor Will was an exceptional resource and mentor as she guided our Klay Kodesh and our lay leadership through an intentional and thorough process she designed in consultation with our team.

The result was not only the hiring of our first full time ordained cantor but also the complete buy-in from our community to the process.
